Canvas Tennis Shoes Keep You At The Pinnacle Of Your Game
A decent pair of tennis shoes is an absolutely vital part of any tennis players locker. With so much strain and strain being exerted on a tennis players feet throughout the course of a game, it is very essential that the feet are protected by the very best tennis shoes.
The sole of the shoe is clearly very significant as this is where the entire grip is generated that enables players to maneuver so well. Those lightning quick changes in direction; instant acceleration from a standstill position; fast braking when running into the net or the court boundary; the leaps, the turns, the service action etc. With ill-fitting or poor performing shoes, all of these actions can be impaired, and in the worst-case scenario, players can feel pain and maybe even sustain injuries.
When a player is in the midst of a game, he/she wants to focus 100% on the game itself and their own performance. Any thoughts or concerns about grip, or pain and discomfort are completely off-putting. Games can without doubt be lost this way, simply due to lack of complete concentration.
However its not just the sole of the foot that a player will be worried about. The whole of the foot needs to be suitably protected and supported, in particular, the top of the foot. The whole foot has to be able to breathe. Air circulation inside the shoe is crucial. Without it, the foot is likely to start to sweat. Sweat can lead to socks and shoes becoming damp, and that in itself can cause chafing and redness.
All good quality tennis shoes include small eyelets in the side of the shoe just above the sole. This is great ventilation for facilitating the flow of air both in and out. However the top of the shoe (mostly referred to as the upper) is an important issue in this aeration issue too.
Plenty of todays tennis shoes are manufactured with synthetic uppers. The explanation for this is that synthetics are excellent for keeping rain or dampness out, and they are lightweight too. However, the issue with synthetics is just that – they are synthetic; they are not natural. Different people have different reactions to various materials, and the truth of the matter is that some synthetics can cause the feet to sweat, and as they are made with certain chemicals, these can in some cases cause allergies and additional reactions.
Thus, one of the finest materials for use in making tennis shoe uppers is canvas. Canvas is one of the original materials that the first tennis shoes were made from, and the great thing about this material is (a) it is a totally 100% natural material, and (b), it is a material that breathes naturally and for that reason allows your foot to breathe too. The other good thing about canvas is that it is extremely strong, so this allows excellent support for your feet, nevertheless it also means that your shoes will be quite long-lasting. In actual fact, the soles and the grip will worsen long before your canvas uppers will.
A reflection of the success and suitability of canvas uppers is that the top tennis shoe manufacturers all offer canvas tennis shoe options. For those fashion conscious players, retro tennis shoes (in canvas, of course) are also very much the rage.
