Cardiff International Pool
The Cardiff International swimming pool is one of the largest swimming pools not just in Cardiff and Wales but whole of Great Britain. The swimming pool situated at the Cardiff international sports village is truly extraordinary marvel that is a privately owned swimming pool. The newly constructed swimming pool is today attracting several thousands of swimmers a week. It was constructed at a huge sum 32 million pounds. It was originally constructed as catering for the London 2012 Olympic training facilities. The facility today stands as a great gift for the folks of city of Cardiff and sets a standard for the rest of Britian.
It is said that during its first six months of opening in 2008, it attracted nearly half a million visitors. The pool is built with international standards, with 10 lanes and 50 metres for the serious swimmers. It has an amazing facility to accommodate 1000 spectators. The dressing rooms are open style and made for families, individuals and for teams.
Furthermore, for those who want to visit the pool for leisure purposes and the fun swimmers this is probably the most amazing leisure pool that there is. It contains interesting things like fountains, Jacuzzi, shallow regions for the very young, water slides for children and adults alike. The flumes for children and adults are big as 200m in size. There is a lazy river, a space bowl, water sprouts. It is a great place to be in. this is an absolute must visit. The pool is open till 10pm during the weekdays and caters for almost everyone. It can confidently be said that this pool is one the best swimming pools in Britain.
In addition to the fascinating swimming pool, the building houses a big health and fitness studio that is completely air conditioned. There are trainers that impart advice and skills on how to use the equipment in a proper fashion. The studio carries out classes that include things like spin tone, yoga techniques, use of toning with the ball and so on. Whatever the level and skills, there is something to do for everyone.
Furthermore, there are two dance studios, sauna, a big size jacuzzi and steam rooms. The place consists of a creche, a cafeteria and a large free car parking space.
