Litespeed M1

The Litespeed M1 takes on a new look for the New Year. The M1 Shimano 105 keeps a lot of the best features and performance aspects of the SRAM Apex model, however there are several new improvements related to the crankset and drive train on the Shimano 105. A lot like the model from last year, this new look takes advantage of a top monocoque carbon fork and frame typically used on the higher priced bikes, which lets the Litespeed M1 deliver more bang for the buck.

What’s in a name? In the case of the Litespeed: everything. These bikes are lighter than air and quicker than electrical currents. Everything that goes into this M1 supports the philosophy behind its performance. From the 24T carbon fiber frame; durable and extremely light thus making it the perfect blend of light weight and stiff material, to the bracket along the bottom that optimally transfers power giving it better pedaling muscle, this bike can take off like a rifle shot with each revolution of that pedal. To assure that no power is wasted on the bike, its Aerologic development keeps each moving part dancing perfectly through space with very little to resist it. The downtube is uniquely designed to be flat, which improves the aerodynamic nature of the bike thus increasing the wind movement. The water bottle attachment is hidden in such a way as to not increase drag on the bike. Hills are no match for it as the rider’s muscles turn power into climbing greatness. The Litespeed M1 is a beautiful ride with one thing in mind: get to point B as quick as possible.

Even though Litespeed has a reputation riding on its Titanium series, the MR1 shows that the manufacturer also knows its carbon fiber. The frame on the MR1 utilizes the RPM, or Reactive Pressure Molding concept in its construction. This leads to quite a bit of reduced weight, without sacrificing durability and stiffness, both of which are increased using this technology. This same technology provides Litespeed with precision control both internally in its structure as well as along the thick walls of its frame. This lets the engineers play with aspects of the design that other bladder molding manufacturers don’t have the luxury of exploring. The tube cross sections of the bike are functional and use aerodynamics efficiently. This means that the Litespeed is along for the carbon fiber ride, but its bikes are unique enough to be in a class all by themselves.

The first carbon frame unit from Lightspeed, the M1 doesn’t feel like a first. The Shimano 105 drive trains are the top of the line in its series and promise flawless functionality along with superb shifting if it is assembled as intended. The large size of the downtube’s diameter adds to the sturdy nature of the M1, along with the chainstays, which are larger than the normal size and keep its rigidity no matter what workload it encounters. The seatstays, thinner and with more flexibility, give a most comfortable ride. The headtube on the M1 will be longer than other bike’s in its class, which also adds to the smooth ride.

The most recent M1 from Litespeed comes with all the accessories that came with the previous version, such as SRAM Apex derailleurs and compact crank, the same bottom bracket and FSA stem and bar, the same FSA RD-60 wheelset, and the same shifters and brakes. This bike maintains its reliability and delivers a sturdy and flexible performance, whether one is training or out there trying to win the race.

Why Kuota Kom is a Pro Grade Machine

If uphill and downhill both are the arena in which you want to test your ability to ride, and ride past your limitations, then look no further than the Kuota Kom to get you there. This solid and strong racer climbs hard and takes you steadily downward, therefore it should not escape the attention of serious bike racers. If uphill and downhill both are the arena in which you want to test your ability to ride, and ride past your limitations, then look no further than the Kuota Kom to get you there. This solid and strong racer climbs hard and takes you steadily downward, therefore it should not escape the attention of serious bike racers. These bicycles are manufactured by lovers of the industry, and it shows in every model they create. They also know the hardships that take a demanding toll on the rider.

Those who set about creating this ride definitely had both the sport as well as the rider in mind as they utilized all their design know-how coupled with the scientific discoveries at their disposal to bring about a bike that gives the racer the riding experience they deserve. Let’s look at just some of the details of this bike’s process of design.

The Kuota Kom’s creation starts with a select few weaves of carbon fiber, picked because they have the right combinations of weight, density, physical structure and strength. The chosen weaves are then taken and injected with superior grade epoxy polymers, identical to the ones used in the aerospace industry. No less than eight kinds of weaves go into the bike’s frame construction, enabling the engineers at Kuota to stand a better chance of both predicting and customizing the frame’s character.

Some areas of the frame need to have a particular focus on both its resistance to twisting as well as its rigidness. Other things that engineers need to consider at this early stage are the level of rider comfort as well as how durable the bike will become. These considerations, along with others, are reviewed all the way back at the beginning of the design phase. Another focus is keeping the weight of the bike as low as possible.

The idea behind the design of Kuota bikes is that they vary the size of their tubes depending on the frame size. This is a method that they call Kuota Optimized Shape Management. The differences relate to the carbon tubes and how stiff the frame is to be made, and this is in relation to the size of the person on board. This makes the Kuota a highly customizable bike.

These incredible bikes can be used for racing, touring or century rides. The geometry of the frame makes for cornering smoothly while traveling at accelerated speeds down long and winding roads, all with almost no wind resistance. There is a solid feel to this bike, so the rider won’t experience any of the wobbling and twitching that is usually felt when riding at high speeds. Even in the aero position, lowered down, and with hands next to the stem, the rider feels a solid ride, almost as if the bike and the rider are joined as one. When the rider needs to brake hard and fast, again there is a noticeable absence of twitching and wobbling when coming to a stop.

In mountain climbing, the Kom defines the ride. In fact, you could say that the name KOM means King of the Mountains. When racing uphill in the mountains, the KOM lets the rider pull away from the pack easily primarily due to its light weight in comparison to other bikes of the same class as the Kom. This bike was created for riders who take their riding seriously, but it was built with the racing enthusiast firmly in mind.

The Kuota Kebel combines top performance and aesthetics that turns heads.

The Kuota Kebel combines top performance and aesthetics that turns heads. All of the names for Kuota’s bikes are derived from Italian meanings, so the Kebel refers to the phrase “que bella” which simply means “beautiful.” This will give you an idea behind how important beauty is to Kuota, and despite the link to beauty, this bike is a top performer.

With a light frame made small, its surface is made of 12K weave carbon fiber. This material gives the Kebel a stiffer model than other bikes, giving it more absorbing power to handle many road conditions and thus delivering smoother handling. This frame also improves the bike’s performance, giving it over to better climbing ability and swifter movement, more so than any other of Kuota’s models. This makes the Kebel a great racing bicycle that takes off quickly, weighs very little, and handles beautifully. It maneuvers expertly, but not by sacrificing any level of comfort. Magnus Backstedt, a professional biker from Sweden, swears by the Kebel, as does Formula One biker Nigel Mansell of Britain. In June of 2011, these to cyclists took part in the tough London to Paris race, patterned after the Tour de France. This endurance race attracted amateur racers from all over. Even though this bike is designed first for the road, Kuota found that by altering both the front end and the seat, more riders could use their Kebel model in triathlons, especially due to the way it handled hard climbs in comfort.

The Kebel’s tubing utilizes progressive dimensions that optimize its performance all along the frame of the bike, giving it the rigidity it is known for. However, this frame only weighs just over 1 kilo. The main tube is larger so that it keeps the bike stable and gives it the best handling ability. The 2011 Kebel includes internal cabling, so that the frame can retain its streamlined nature and allow riders to maximize its performance. The lower bracket, the BB30, keeps the weight light by allowing a 30 mm spindle made of aluminum, removing cups that would typically keep the bearings. It also provides additional space so that a bigger down tube can be fastened, along with a seat tube and the stays for the chain, so that the Kebel’s durability could be increased when the cyclist pedals hard.

The larger than normal frame tubes and specific geometry, along with the superior quality of the carbon finish and glossy highlights give the Kuota Kebel a fanciful appearance. Because of this look, women seem more likely to ride the Kebel, but there are versions for both genders. It is often asked whether the larger tubes deter from the performance and aerodynamics, however there is no argument as to the ride offered by the Kebel. It is very slick, and the maneuvering is so second nature that riders will often not remember that their bike can handle a road race quite nicely. Cornering is not a problem with the Kebel either, even for riders on a bike for the first time who very quickly come to enjoy the handling the bike.

There are very few negative aspects of the Kuota Kebel. Proving itself time and again in its performance, even beginners are able to gain experience with ease; however, when the rider is ready to open it up, the Kebel’s power will be there.

Our human body is composed mainly of water, about 95 percent, that’s why it is important that we stay hydrated by drinking safe water. Each person needs about 20 to 50 litters of safe, potable water per day for drinking, cooking, and washing. Even if we’re camping or enjoying the great outdoors, we need safe water to drink by using helpful devices, such as the StriPEN Adventurer handheld water purifier. Therefore, dirty water does not only make us sick, it does actually kill.

Safe and clean water for drinking is measured using the standard of United Nations. This measure imposes the acceptable microbe, chemical, and radiological composition of water. The measure often means nothing as we don’t go ahead and take steps to maintain our water clean and consumable. Contamination can slip in from microbes or chemicals from human and animal wastes, in addition to industrial wastes, farming residue, along with other contaminants. It happens for both surface and ground water in the source, and there isn’t any guarantee that passing with the distribution system will exempt water from contamination.

Therefore the problem of potable water goes past quality. Additionally, it has issues on volumes or quantity. For that needs of individuals, there’s additionally a scarce resource for water that is clean for consumption along with other needs.

Surface water, or those sourced from natural bodies of water, may not be consistent because water flow is dependent upon the seasons of the year. Rain provides for surface water, so a dry spell could spell disaster for humanity. Changes in the weather can vastly affect rainfall. The El Nio sucks us all dry, while the La Nia leaves us no room to dry. This means that we can have one year of “drought”, and one year of “flood.”

The issue with excess water is the storage, which could also make room for undesirable pollutants. Ground water, or water found underneath the soil or perhaps in pores of enormous rocks, could be an issue too. These have to be replenished either by natural or guy-made processes.
