Installing a Water Filter? Whole House Works Best

A serious reality that has just touched based with a lot of households in the United States is the use of water filters. With water borne diseases on a rise, families are starting to realize the importance of having a water filter installed at home. Most urban and suburban centers get their water source form municipal reservoirs where water is refined and recycled from waste and other water sources. There are times when water companies have over compensated chemicals like chlorine and fluoride in water to kill bacteria in water.

Health related sicknesses from water are sore stomach, running stomach, headaches especially with kids and even cancer and death in more severe cases. Water filters actually help reduce these risks by supplying your family with the best filtered water from your taps. Purchasing a water filter is not about wasting money on a kitchen tool that you would not use, rather its an investment into your familys health and well-being. There are many types of water filters available and the purchasing process can be confusing at times. When you are unsure about choosing a water filter, whole house is recommended.

When it comes to filtering water a whole house filter does the job best to get rid of any residue, contaminants and bacteria left in water. Whole house have a higher filter power than most other filters in the business. It has the ability to supply pure water to your entire whole from one single source connected to your main pipe line. When I say entire house, yes I even mean to your gardens and showers. The great thing about a whole house filter is the rate to which water comes out of your taps, consistent pressure all times.

Three Ways to Install Whole House Filters

Installing a whole house filter is easy and quick to do if you know what you are doing; if you dont then I recommend you get a professional plumber to install it. Whole house filters are usually set up at the main water pipe line of the house. This way filter and purified water is sent into feeder pipelines of the house where you would get purified water throughout the house. Before water even enters the whole house filters it enters the first filter unit. Here the denser sediments and materials are separated before going entering the whole house. Once transferred into the whole house water is filtered even further getting rid of all left over disease carrying bacteria.

The other method that is also used with a whole house system is Ionization approach. This approach is done with the use of electrical charged pulses released into the water, disease carrying bacteria is destroyed.

The third approach involves installing a bypass valve on the inlet of the filtering system. This is recommended by many plumbers because it conserves water when watering lawns, gardens and even when washing yours cars. Water is conserved this way when its bypasses through an outside connection before going through the whole house filter. This way you are saving money on the use of purified water which you do not consume.

Price Problems

The only ever complaint about this system is its price. From what I know, quality doesnt come cheap especially when you are purchasing the best filter system in the business. When it comes to family health money should not even be an option. Think of it this way, the health improvements this filter will bring your family will end up saving you on your doctor bills.

If you’re not into getting a water filter like whole house then there are some other basic options available. Faucets filters, undersink filters and countertop filters are the alternative options that are much cheaper yet still supply great quality water as well. The only downsides to these filters are the pressure that it exerts isn’t as high flowing, water can only be filtered at one outlet and these filters would need to be cleaned every so often. Apart from this, these are great basic water filters for any family.

For a wise choice of a water filter, whole house is recommended for your family.
