Knives, Knives, and More Knives
Kirby Lambert Claw Gouge-Grip Knife: This is one of Kirby’s first Gouge-Grip folders. As I can tell he doesn’t make too many of these types of grips anymore, but did for a short period, and I really like them. I remember the day that Kirby emailed me to show me this new design he had, and I ordered one immediately.
Kershaw Boa Speedsafe Knife: Ever since Ken Onion formed a relationship and collaborated with Kershaw on their knives they have been releasing some amazing peices. The Boa is among around a dozen knives designed byKen Onion for Kershaw, which include the Steven Segal folder.
A.T. Barr One-Eyed Jack Knife: I had always wanted an A.T. Barr ever since I saw one in a Blade Magazine Ad, so when the chance to buy one came up, I jumped on it. I was not disappointed. It was what I was looking for, a knife with the spydie hole, but custom quality!
Mike Obenauf Small Model 2 Framelock: Mike Obenauf is one hell of a maker. His knife designs are heavily influenced by his father-in-law, the famous Kit Carson, and that much is obvious from the design of his Model 2. And that’s not the only thing they have in common… the quality of his knives is also in the same league, which is saying quite a bit!
Kirby Lambert Mammoth Spearpoint: Two years in the making! This knife was not easy for Kirby to make me as he had to go to where he had his quenching set up in a different province to do it. He tried several steels to get a good hamon on a small blade and finally got this result, and it looks fantastic! This is easily my favouriteknife in my collection, period.
Airkat Kon-Dor Modified Folding Knife: Hi All. Got a new folder last week and have been carrying it since. Man, this is one Mutha of a folder. It can pretty well be my last tactical Folder as it looks like it will easily outlast me. Built like a tank this tactical Folder was designed for hardcore use. Looking funky and hard lined with all sorts of milling, this knife shows nicely too for any collector.
James McGowan Ti Strider Spanner Key: James is a stand-up guy, and every year when I go to the CKG show I have to pick up a peice by him. This year there were lots of things there as usual, but the cool funky gripped knives were all sold by the time I got there, so I was lucky enough to grab one of these titanium spanners, the last one. Actually it wasn’t there earlier, and appeared late, so I’m not sure where it came from.
Peter Atwood Prybaby: Peter Atwood’s Prybaby’s are a very popular tool amongs the tacticool crowd of today’s knife community. I will admit I think they are pretty darn cool too and the one I have here is a basic prybaby in 154CM steel with Orange Glow inserted all over various parts of the tool.
