Laboratory for Life Lessons in Character and Values
This Must Change, Now! 2 out of 5 kids today live in a home without their biological father There are 10 million single mothers raising their children 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes 85% of youth in prison come from fatherless homes 90% of homeless and runaway children come from fatherless homes 63% of youth suicides come from fatherless homes 135,000 kids are carrying guns to school
These numbers cannot be denied and we have an epidemic of youth who have voids in their life due to fatherless homes.
Values Based Coaching (VBC) Playmakers seek to teach the core values and character consistent with those values to make great young men. With no disrespect to single moms, they cannot fill the void that is created when a dad is not present to foster those masculine traits to make a well rounded young man. I realize that this is a sensitive area with single moms and we serve just to assist in helping fill that void.
The Right Mentor Teaching Values and Character: The right mentor may be closer than you think. It can be a trained coach who understands his role in the bigger picture. The bigger picture can include True masculinity Values for life Character and what that means Serving others first
When the right coach who has developed a relationship with the youth and trust with the parent emerges and steps up to the task the results can be life changing.
Learning Laboratory: To get this message across Playmakers creates an environment of learning through FREE football camps to kids and coaches across the country with a simple “pay it forward” model. Kids and coaches are invited to camp by committing to serve in the community in Playmaker supervised activities that teaches giving to others first.
Coach Roz is an author “Coaching for a Bigger Win” (Amazon) and speaks to a several of groups across the country.
