Leupold Rifle Scopes – Are You Good Enough For This.
Everybody knows that shooters are a wide and varied bunch. Heck the politicians are always discovering the political clout they tend to wield as well when they try and change the rules. One thing all shooters have in common though is that they want to have dependable, rugged rifle scopes with all of the whistles and bells if the price is right.
Dont buy a leupold rifle scope without considering these facts.
You would look pretty silly turning up with a shotgun to try and take out a buck from 600 yards. Conversely you probably wouldnt have much chance trying your hand at duck shooting with a .308 fitted with the best scope Leupold makes. Granted they are extreme examples they they prove a point.
Reticle preference is an inidividual thing and you should go with what suits. Leupold does cater for reticle customisation on most of their scopes. The rifleman line is an exception to that rule in the current manufacturing lineup.
popular is definitely a term that can be applied to the Mark 4 scopes from Leupold. So poular in factthatthere are some enterprising individuals out there that are producing qute good copies, albeit inferior. I’ll send out some videos later on how to spot the copies from the real thing before you get caught out.
In 2009 the Leupold Mark 3 lineup got a major revamp with superior low light optical performance enhancements. A great choice for early morning, twilight or misty conditions. The VX-3L is an ingenious approach to solving the large aperture, low mount dilemma. High quality and ease of adjusment is a hall mark of this line.
Leupold like to produce as much of their equipment in the US as possible. However they do often contract out their optics manufacture to some places better geared up to do so. They do however keep a tight reign on those third party suppliers to make sure quality in not jeopardised. They also retain development and design in the U.S. for their optics at some pretty fancy labs they own.
Cheap lenses and a whole bunch of extra adjustments for a quarter of the price. Heard this before? Poor quality optics that lend themselves to much greater shape distortion can only result in image degradation and poorer resolution. It all sounds really good when pitched to you but basically one scope will not do everything that all other scopes combined can do. Leupold dont try and push this line and you shouldnt buy it either.
The decision was made extremely easy for me on day when my boss was on my case way too hard. I just wanted to escape from his clutches to go hunting. I took the jump and ordered my Leupold. It took a few days to arrive but the wait was worth it. The most lingeirng impression of that first hunt was my buddy Pete continually drooling over my new scope. He probably used it more than I did that day.
Dont purchase a Leupold Rifle Scope until you have read this article. I takes a overview of what you need to know when you purchase your Leupold Rifle Scope
