Though their offense struggled to move the ball, the Tennessee Titans managed to prevail over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday by a 27-20 score. The victory ran Tennessees record to 2-0 in the NFL preseason, while the Bucs dropped their first exhibition contest. The Titans rallied behind the play of backup QB Vince Young, who threw for 131 yards and the game winning touchdown.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher wasnt happy with his teams performance, particularly their offensive rhythm:

“We just really didn’t get in synch like we would’ve like to.”

Conversely, Tampa Bays new head coach Rahim Morris was fairly upbeat after his NFL coaching debut:

“Not a bad start though, not a bad start.

Tennessee QB Collins post game comments didn’t provide much insight into the reason for his poor outing:

“We had too many turnovers, and that can’t happen. We know we have a lot to improve on.”

Tampa Bay will make the short trip to Jacksonville next Saturday to face the Jaguars, who will be playing their first NFL preseason contest of the year on Monday night. Theyll then host Floridas other NFL team, the Miami Dolphins, the following week. The Titans will head to Dallas for a game against the Cowboys next Friday night.

We have all been waiting 341 days for his return like MacArthur’s return to the Philippines. Tom Terrific returned to game action for the first time since that dreadful day in September 2008. I remember sitting in my seats in section 336 on that glorious late summer day.

It was the first time my girlfriend came to the stadium with me, and probably the last since I’m superstitious and don’t want her jinxing Brady again. All that I can remember is someone saying that Matt Cassel had come onto the field for Brady, and the rest is a blur.

However, Cassel did a very commendable job back in 2008. Now he is in KC and Tommy is back at the helm. Tom played the first half going 10 for 15 for 100 yards, 2 TD’s to Chris Baker the Touchdown Maker, and 1 INT.

While he was great in action, the moment that stands out in my mind is the way Brady reacted to the one bad pass that he threw for an interception. I liked this.

He was pissed! You have to love that competitive fire Tom has. It doesn’t matter that this was a meaningless pre-season game or a playoff game. He goes full throttle all the time. This is why hands down he is the best QB in the league.

He gives it his all every time he hits the field, no matter what the circumstances. He takes full responsibility for his actions, and never blames anyone but himself for any blunders.

After seeing Brady in action for his first time in a year, I was really happy to see the way he looked. He was a bit rusty, but it’s to be expected of anyone coming back from such an injury, and even any quarterback coming back from the off-season.

He is getting his rhythm back with Mr. Moss and has made new friends with Chris Baker. Tom’s toy box is full this year and he just can’t wait to play.
