Tips For Left Hand Bow Hunting
Bow hunting has become a popular sport throughout Europe and the United States. This is similar to regular game hunting as one will be searching and targeting live game and this is legal. Though bow hunting is considered as a sport; there are still some things to keep in mind.
There are some organizations, which classify bow hunting for the left and the right handed; though the rules are no different from one another apart from the hand orientation. The defining factor to knowing the hand orientation in bows is the dominant eye of the archer. Determining the dominant eye is simple and easy and can be done anywhere at any time. All one needs to do is to stretch both hands out in a palms out manner and overlap the index fingers and the thumbs to create a diamond shaped hole in the center.
What one needs to do is to focus on something inside the hole; while keeping their focus, one must make the hole smaller and gradually bring their hands to their face without losing focus inside the hole. The hands will be naturally drawn toward the dominant eye and will determine which one it is. If the hands are drawn towards the left eye, it means that the archer has a left dominant eye and will require a left hand bow. These left hand bows have become popular and quite easy to find and are easily identifiable as it is held by the right hand while the arrow rest is located at the left of the riser and the strings are drawn by the left hand with the left eye in focus to determine the aim.
In bow hunting, one must be able to remember a few factors to achieve successful hunting. First off is the location; one must be able to scout the area before the actual day of hunting. This will provide one the advantage of knowing the land and where the ideal and strategic post can be found; this will enable one to have a consistent advantage over the game. Doing this a few months earlier than the beginning of the season will enable the prey such as deer or rabbit to regain their confidence in their territory after it has been disturbed by those who have been exploring the area.
If you are a left handed bow hunter the most important thing to keep in mind is your positioning. If you are hunting with others chances are that most of your fellow hunters are right handed. In some cases you might even have to sit on a different angle than they do. This is to counterbalance the fact that you will be shooting your bow with a different hand.
One thing that both left handed bow hunters and right handed bow hunters have to be able to work on while bow hunting is patience. It doesn’t matter how you are shooting your bow. If you are hunting chances are you will have to be waiting a while before you see the prey. Also dont forget to check your bow before you go on your hunting trip. The last thing you want to worry about is a faulty bow to deal with while bow hunting.
There are several types of Left hand bows available on the market today. If you are into hunting then the best choice should be to get Left Handed Bowtech Bows.
