Why Do The Children Grow Up So Fast?
Now that the children are older, and they don’t play out in the garden, it is sadly time to think about getting rid of all their old garden toys.
Over the years we have had plenty of bits and pieces out in the garden, ranging from climbing toys, swing sets and various other garden toys.
They have had sand pits, ball pits, football posts, badminton nets, endless footballs and tennis balls. I wonder is there a big hole somewhere where all the balls seem to end up.It was really peculiar, but no matter how many balls I seemed to buy, whenever the children went to play ball, they all seemed to have disappeared.
However, definitely the very best piece of equipment the kids ever had was the fabulous play system we got for them. We even cordoned off a chunk of the garden so that we could construct the frame. It was a huge mission as we had to dig out quite a large area of earth and rubbish and then fill it all up with play bark.Although it seemed at the time to be a lot of effort and set us back lots of money, the hours and hours of joy the kids got out it was worth every single Pound.
It is funny how you remember times when the kids were smaller, and the endless amount of laughter coming from out in the garden.
One of my fondest memories of the children playing out in the garden was when I used to push them both in the swing seat.It was one of those double seats, and it seemed the higher I pushed them, the louder they laughed.Sometimes I pushed them so high, that I felt sure they were going to come flying out of their seats.
Sadly those years are long gone and both the children have grown up.Gone are the wonderful days when the kids were both happy playing out in the fresh air.Sadly nowadays its all talking to their friends via Facebook and playing computer consoles.
I would advise you that if your children are still young, then make sure you enjoy every moment you can with them, because before you know it they will be all grown up and the little things just won’t interest them!
