Will The Washington Redskins Bounce Back?
The Washington Redskins suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Detroit Lions in week 3. After spending all this money in the off season, nobody would have predicted this outcome.
The Washington Redskins find themselves in arguably the toughest division in football. If they don’t raise their level of play, they’ll find themselves at the bottom of the NFC East.
The Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles play competitive football nearly every year, and attempting to win that division is an extremely tall order for a team like Washington. For this reason, every game and every week matters to the fullest.
The Washington Redskins have a very tough schedule when you consider they must play the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles twice a season.
The Redskins defense isn’t the best but not close to being the worst either – so the problem lies with the offense execution.
The Redskins have QB Jason Campbell — who hasn’t developed as the franchise QB the Redskins were hoping for, yet. Campbell is already 27 years old and the most touchdown passes he threw for in a season was only- in 08′. Redskins fans hope he is a late bloomer or otherwise the Redskins have no future with his as QB.
In 08′, Campbell did compete 62% of his pass attempts which shows he can be accurate enough, but his leadership qualities are questioned. Jim Zorn should do a better job at helping him develop.
Head Coach Jim Zorn is on the hot seat if he can’t create some spark with his offense. The Redskins are a proud franchise with a rich history, if Zorn can’t produce for the Redskins fans and ownership by motivating his players he won’t last the season. The players must come ready to play and not play the blame game either as well. .
